I order Chinese food very infrequently, mostly because Chinese food isn't on my mental take-out radar most of the time. Even though I don't eat it often, I will say that I've made Chopstick House my new "go-to" in the area instead of another place in Lackawanna I was eating at over the past few years.
I prefer to pick up; I have only used their delivery service one time. Delivery was super speedy! Be prepared with your phone and money by your side about 10 minutes after you call, and expect it can be any time after that. When I say it was quick, I mean it. The food is also always ready when they say it will be for pick up, so no complaints there.
The inside is pretty run down upon pick up and I only vaguely remember seeing one or two mini tables by the door if you do eat there, so I'd say consider this place a take out only. I feel the menu has generous options.
With Westernized Chinese food, I generally stick to the main 10-12 things I know, so 98% of it is items I haven't tried. However your basic Sweet & Sour, Sesame, General Tso's Chicken, or Chicken and Broccoli have all been rather good. Their pork fried rice is your standard and be forewarned, their Spring Rolls have Shrimp in them which was disappointing to learn at home one time. Oh well. More room for Chow Mein!
I love their Crab Rangoons. Most places will give you the traditional pinched shaped; here, they are in triangles so you get more of the filling in more bites.
As a perk, their food continues to taste just as good the next day. I can never finish the combo dinner in one sitting. Prices are standard but more than fair and I've been happy with my purchases here so far. -

Ordered from here to see how good it was, I honestly give it a half of a star if possible. Only reason I give it a half star is the amount of time it took for my food to be ready. I got a large Kang pao chicken and 3/4 of the large chicken was vegetable.

As far as Chinese take-out goes, this is my favorite in the southtowns. My family has been ordering from here for years. My husband always gets the General Tso's chicken and it's a large combo meal with fried rice and an egg roll, my favorite meal is the Shrimp with Rice Noodles. There used to be two different sizes for it and I always got the larger one in the white quart container. Now they only offer it in the standard combo-meal container. You definitely get less food. But it just tastes so much fresher and better than other places I've gone for Chinese so I will keep going here, even travelling all the way from Hamburg. I like that they offer Shrimp egg rolls instead of the standard pork as I love my seafood! Also, the crab ragoon is folded differently here than other places and I love it. They are triangles - And you will get a mouthful of the hot gooey goodness in each bite. YUIM!

They have the best crab rangoons in Buffalo!! Unlike any other Chinese Restaurant their rangoons taste sweet! General Tso chicken with Vegetable fried rice is always fresh and delicious! Chicken wings are moist, crispy and seasoned to perfection! We just moved to the area and will only eat from here when we want Chinese food!!

The online menu intrigued me... it wasnt the standard same old template found on most Chinese menus-
Alas, The menu was replaced as soon as I moved into the area...and as they were the closest to my place, we have ordered several times.
The food has arrived prompltly and almost too hot to eat!
We would have ordered far more often ,had we had the original , menu to choose from...as it is , there are a lots of interesting Asain take out options in the area- It would have been great to see Chopstick House remain unique, and resist the standardization , Americanization of their menu..... Buffalo and surronding area have been the recipients of a wonderful array of regional delicious new places....
But chopstick House has been prompt and tasty.. so for what it is ,and delivered hot on cold winter nights we are grateful :)
